-A princes duty is to care about war. Also the duty to care fir the regulations and training it requires.
-It is better according to Machiavelli to be a ruler who is feared because fear is bound by apprehension. Also it is safer to be feared than loved because if one is feared he is respected and if one is loved he is not.
-The prince learns from the lion that the lion is unwise and is unable to keep his word. He learned from the fox that he has the best success and that it is best to put on a good disguise and to be skillful.
